I am from Hasselt, Belgium where I completed my master’s in computer science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Visual Computing. My master’s thesis “Deep Learning Approaches for Blind Image Deconvolution, with application to astronomical images” investigated how deep learning (specifically convolutional neural networks and zero-shot optimization networks) can tackle blind deconvolution when the point-spread function is unknown or incomplete. Approaching (complex) problems in natural sciences from a CS/AI standpoint is what motivates me and I’m looking to bring this kind of approach to Miguel Caro’s Research group.
