Since I got my PhD in 2013 precisely from University College Cork, this was a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues, discuss about ongoing collaborations with my former group in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tyndall.ie\">Tyndall<\/a>, learn about the latest developments in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and, of course, present our recent results on machine-learning driven molecular dynamics simulation of the deposition of tetrahedral amorphous carbon, which appeared in <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.aps.org\/prl\/abstract\/10.1103\/PhysRevLett.120.166101\">Physical Review Letters<\/a> earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>I was extremely happy to find out that my talk was selected as Best Oral Presentation for the IEEE Young Professional Awards at this conference.
